Gatekeepers/Watchmen “He also assigned security guards at the gates of God’s Temple so that no one who was unprepared could enter.” 2 Chronicles 23:19 (MSG) Purpose: To ensure a safe environment and to minimize distractions during worship. The men leading this ministry are responsible for keeping order and praying over the people and the premises. They have been authorized by the Pastoral Staff to maintain peace. Gatekeepers: Primary responsibilities include parking detail and security for the perimeter of all church properties. Watchmen: Are concerned with order and crisis prevention within the church building and worship service. Both Teams: Are trained and expected to be prayerful, spiritually discerning and specific when addressing the needs of God’s people. Orientation: Mandatory training sessions and a probation period are all part of the orientation process. Training sessions will be announced at least 2 weeks prior to the meeting.
