Outreach
Unrolling the scroll, he found the place where it was written,
God’s Spirit is on me;
He’s chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor,
Sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind,
To set the burdened and battered free,
To announce, “This is God’s year to act!”
Luke 4:17-19 (The Message)
Just as Jesus fulfilled this prophecy while he walked on earth he continues
to do so today by anointing his people with the Holy Spirit. Those of us called
to follow Jesus are to bring the good news that God sent his Son Jesus to save
all who believe to our communities and to the world. Many people today are hurting,
hungry and in need. God calls us to meet those needs using his strength. Pasadena
Church strives to preach the good news to all people and reach out to the poor.
We will be doing this locally by setting up our own Food for Faith Ministry to
serve a warm meal to our community, supporting missionaries and other local ministries.
Here are links to missions that we support and local ministries that are striving
to meet the needs of our community. Check back here often to find out how these
ministries can serve you and how you can be involved in serving.
